Shipping & returns

Shipping area and cost

LostRuby plans to ship within the contiguous United States. Standard shipping is a flat $7 per order, with complimentary standard shipping on merchandise totals of $100 or more before tax. Any shipping charge will be shown before a live order is placed. We will show any available delivery estimate at checkout.

When an order ships

Allow 2–4 business days for handling after a live order is confirmed. Weekends and U.S. public holidays are not business days. A carrier’s delivery estimate begins after the package is handed off and is not a guaranteed arrival date.

If LostRuby learns that an order cannot ship within the time stated at checkout, we will contact the buyer with the available revised timing and the option to agree to the delay or cancel for a prompt refund. If no shipping time is stated, applicable federal rules generally require shipment within 30 days or a delay notice with a cancellation and refund option.

Returns on one-of-one finds

For the live shop, request a return within 14 calendar days after delivery. The piece must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in the same condition it arrived, with any original tags still attached. Contact LostRuby for authorization and the return instructions before mailing anything back; unapproved or postage-due packages may be refused.

Unless an item arrives damaged or materially different from its listing, the buyer pays return shipping. Original shipping charges are not refundable for a change-of-mind return. After an approved return is received and inspected, an eligible refund will go to the original payment method. Because each find is unique, exchanges and size swaps are not available; you can place a new order for another available piece.

Damage, wrong item, or delivery issue

If an item arrives damaged, is the wrong item, or appears not to have been delivered, contact LostRuby within 3 days of delivery (or the carrier’s delivery scan). Include the order number and clear photos of the item and packaging when relevant. We will review the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy under the live-shop policy and applicable law.

Vintage and secondhand pieces can show age and prior wear. Each live listing will describe notable flaws, include measurements where practical, and show the actual one-of-one item being sold. Please review those details before ordering.

Privacy policy

This preview is a static website. It does not send checkout or newsletter form entries to LostRuby, create live customer accounts, take payment details, or run analytics or advertising trackers. Its demo profile feature can save an email address, delivery address, and shopping bag in this browser’s local storage.

What stays in your browser

The shopping bag and demo profile stay in local storage on this device so they can remain between visits. A demo profile may include your name, email, and delivery address. The site also remembers whether its sample card is shown. Do not use sensitive personal information in this preview; local browser storage is not a secure account service. You can clear it by removing this site’s browser data. Delivery details that have not been saved to a profile remain only in the current page until it is closed or reloaded.

This preview never saves passwords, card numbers, or card security codes. Card entry is not enabled, and no checkout details are transmitted. The newsletter form is not present on this version of the site.

Hosting and outside services

When the site is hosted online, the hosting provider may receive standard connection information such as your IP address, browser, and requested page as part of delivering and protecting the site. The production hosting provider has not been selected, so its name and applicable retention details must be added before launch. The current design uses local site assets and system fonts and does not intentionally connect to analytics or advertising services.

When the shop goes live

A live store will need to use service providers for payment, shipping, order email, and possibly mailing-list or analytics functions. Before enabling those services, LostRuby must update this policy to identify the actual providers, explain what information each receives and why, describe retention and customer choices, and publish a working privacy contact. Card details must be entered through a secure payment provider. The storefront should retain only the provider’s saved-payment reference and limited display details, never a full card number or security code.

Security and questions

LostRuby will use reasonable safeguards for information it handles and will follow applicable breach-notification requirements. No online service can promise perfect security. The live shop’s privacy contact and business mailing address have not been provided yet; they must be published before customer data or paid orders are accepted.

Terms of use

Catalog and one-of-one items

LostRuby is intended to offer curated vintage and secondhand clothing. In the live catalog, each item is unique and may sell only once. Colors can look different across screens; measurements, materials, wear, and known flaws will be described as accurately as possible. Product photos should show the actual item before a live sale.

Prices and orders

Prices on this preview are examples in U.S. dollars and can change. A live order will be accepted only through the production checkout after the buyer reviews the full price, shipping, tax, and applicable policies. An order confirmation will acknowledge receipt; LostRuby will contact the buyer if an order cannot be fulfilled.

Using the site

You may browse the site for personal, lawful use. Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, misuse another person’s information, or copy brand materials for commercial use without permission. Site content, layout, and the LostRuby name and mark may not be used to imply an affiliation or endorsement.

Changes and applicable rights

LostRuby may update the site and these terms. Updated terms will show a new date. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. The legal operator, its mailing address, and customer-support contact will be published before live sales begin.
